Tata Seeks To Partner With Moderna Inc. To Facilitate Vaccine In India

Tata Medical & Diagnostics is said to have begun introductory conversations with Moderna Inc. for an association to dispatch its COVID-19 vaccine in India, the Economic Times released Monday. Tata could collaborate with the India's Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) to complete clinical preliminaries of Moderna's vaccine applicant in India, the report added, referring to authorities acquainted with the issue.
The Indian government this month gave emergency-use confirmation to a COVID-19 antibody created by Bharat Biotech International Ltd and state-run Indian Council of Medical Research, and another authorized from Oxford University and AstraZeneca PLC that is being fabricated by the Serum Institute of India. Moderna didn't react to media's solicitation for a remark outside business hours, while Tata Medical and Diagnostics didn't quickly react.
